"daily dOOdle" weekly round-up.

2/8/2012
I saw a post on Tim's post about a designer. This guy makes modern band flyers  based around swedish design. I really liked some of the hardcore ones. My lame attempt at swede design.

2/9/2012
My favorite little wine glass. It's the last survivor. I have broken every last one of my glasses. Even my grandmother's crystal. This one was tiny and had the silvery frost on the rim and smoky fade. I found it at a thrift shop in Idaho. Boo.

2/10/2012
Krusty typography. I love letter writing, but my hands are a bit spazzy, so I gotta do it Krusty style. This was a design for my banner in my Etsy shop.

2/11/2012
Ryan's moms' hairpins. We went to Idaho for his grandma's funeral (rip Marilyn, you cute lady) and I was snooping through the cabinets for some hand lotion. These pins reminded me of my mom's and her big ol' spiky rollers.

2/12/2012
A weird, rubbery rabbit toy, I found at the Piehl's. They have a cardboard box of toys for the grandkids, I think.

2/13/2012
Some sort of beaded doll I found at Whitney's. She's got lots of funky stuff to draw in her trailer by the tracks.

2/14/2012
Valentine's' day. Not a huge proponent but I thought this little piggy bank was sort of suiting, I guess because of the heart shaped eyes and...

...heart shaped butthole.

"daily dOOdle" weekly round-up.

2/1/2012
Johnny Lydon's birthday. Born in London, 1954. His bday is actually on Jan. 1st, I'm just a day late. He is quoted as being incredibly shy as a child and would poop his pants a lot.

2/2/1012
My doodle version of the classic argyle.

2/3/2012
The death of Karen Carpenter (possibly the 4th) in 1983.  She was a drummer of exceptional skill, but is mostly know for her vocal ballads. She suffered from anorexia nervosa, but it was heart failure that killed her. She left us all too soon. I made a 2 color print of her, available in my Etsy shop

2/4/2012
My daily morning of caffinated sludge.

2/5/2012
Don Cornelius, the creator of Soul Train. He shot himself on Feb. 1st, possibly because he was suffering from dementia. Godspeed, Don. Souuul traaain!!

2/6/2012
Chicken wings, an ode to Super Bowl Sunday, which I care nothing for. I never used to eat these things because I thought they were weird.  But the boyfriend likes to make them and then I eat them.

2/7/2012
Just a doodle of boxes It was organic in nature and my pen just kept making lines and connecting them.

"daily dOOdle" weekly round-up.

1/24/2012
A possible design for a screen printed wine bag. It will be 2 color with lots of red.  I also drink the crap outta of this stuff.

1/25/2012
Op art chevron pattern.

1/26/2012
Old school vans style checkered pattern. Maybe on a scarf?

1/27/2012
My goggles. My stinky, grimy, scratched up goggles.

1/28/2012
Is it op art week? A target-like design. Targets always look good on t shirts.

1/29/2012
A thank you to all that helped me reach over 500 "likes" on facebook.

1/31/2012
Yes, I skipped a day. It was dumping that day and I went snowboarding and then I was very tired. This was a entry to a coloring book contest for Doodler's Anonymous. I still haven't heard back, maybe it wasn't picked. But I think it's super cool. It's a 2ft. toy that moves, roars and blinks with lights. Again, thanks to Kendall and her boys for having awesome toys to draw.

"daily dOOdle" weekly round-up.

1/17/2012
Ron Swanson. I don't think i need to say more. Ok...check out Parks and Rec, if you don't know.

1/18/2012
It dumped this day and I rode my ass off on the hill. When I got home I was much too tired to draw much of anything.

1/19/2012
Ryan's bottle opener he got in Vegas. It's brushed aluminum and it almost a foot in length.

1/20/2012
I opened a pack of googly eyes and they spilled all over my paper.

1/21/2012
These are the legs to the mini tripods called gorillas. They can bend all sorts of ways and I thought they might make a cool pattern.
1/22/2012
The day before was National Squirrel Day. Sometimes I'm a day off.

1/23/2012
Chinese New Year. Kinda crummy looking lettering, but kinda fun to draw.

"daily dOOdle" weekly round-up.

1/10/2012
A gold bow from Christmas present. I'd like to print this on a shirt and make it super glittery gold.
1/11/2012
My second purchase on Etsy. I came across this little, knitted, orange guy and, well, just had to have him. It stands maybe 3" tall. Thank you, Cortney @ merlinlovestocreate.

1/12/2012
I like drawing these 3D stick like things. I am not sure where these originated or why. When I dive into my consciousness, I'll let you know.

1/13/2012
Sriracha! The cock sauce. I always have a bottle in my fridge and I couldn't believe that I had not drawn this yet.

1/14/2012
Just an idea for a t shirt or pillow. Quilted fabric with button.

1/15/2012
Got spice on my mind. Just digging around the cabinets and came across these guys. Puree this stuff and it mix it with mayo or just smear it on eggs, tortillas, anything. Smoky goodness and it will keep in the fridge for weeks.

1/16/2012
M.L.K. Jr. day. I started a mini portrait of Martin and I did not approve of the direction it was going. I like this a lot better.

Sunday, January 22, 2012

paper world.

Another edition of paper world. This time with an old PBR print. It seemed suiting for a mellow Sunday. It's my Friday, watch out b*tches!
Cutting out old PBR print.

Drawing background.

6 pack of beer ready to go.

Beer.

King of beers.

"daily dOOdle" weekly round-up.

1/3/2012
A Qbert like graphic. If you don't know who Qbert is...google it. (Can we still google stuff with this sopa/ pipa thang going on? )

1/4/2012
A chain like pattern. I've done a few drawings of chains. I even printed one in silver on black. Bling, bling.

1/5/2012
A mini makers bottle. 50 ml. 4" high. Stinkin' cute.

1/6/2012
Diamonds. I'm not specifically into the rock, but it's the cool thing to draw. Also, exploring my blingy side.

1//7/2012
It's a pattern week. Kind of a fish net japanese pattern. I found a small book in mega thrift ($.50) of japanese patterns. Amazing stuff.

1/8/2012
Another japanese plaid like pattern. Shoot. This one was tough, but I wanted to try my hand at something a little more complex and interlocking.

1/9/2012
Ahoy, matey! I was thinking of high seas this day. Was it raining? I don't remember. I'm also working on a mini sketch book of patterns that I would like to show off on a video when I'm done.
